The ArtofHealers is a unique hybrid virtual and physical exhibition platform designed to highlight the visual art and photography created by healthcare workers. Here’s how you can participate in this innovative exhibition:
- Register and Display Your Gallery
Healthcare workers can register to display a gallery of up to 10 images for free on our website. This gallery will be curated by the ArtofHealers team and will be available for sale with a 10% handling fee. All prints will be professionally produced by Medimage Studios.
- Big Events: The Exhibitions
The major events for the ArtofHealers are the exhibitions. These exhibitions provide a platform for healthcare workers who are artists and photographers to showcase their work.
- Submission Guidelines
- Who Can Submit: Any healthcare worker who is an artist or photographer.
- What to Submit: Up to five images of your artwork or photographs for free when exhibitions are announced.
- Selection Process: If your images are chosen by our esteemed judges, you will be notified and required to pay R500 for each image selected.
- Display Format: Selected works will be displayed on our website's exhibition page and will also be printed and shown in a modern format, with the biography of the artist or photographer, at hospitals, medical schools, medical congresses, and other galleries.
- Curated by Renowned Judges
Unlike previous exhibitions by Doctors in Art, the ArtofHealers exhibitions will be curated by esteemed judges who are artists and photographers, not healthcare professionals. These judges will bring a fresh perspective to the selection process.
- Innovative Display
Selected works will be displayed in printed form and on specially designed vertical prisms, ensuring a mobile and dynamic presentation. This innovative display method enhances the visibility and impact of the artwork.
- Opening Events
Each exhibition will include an opening event, featuring talks that highlight the benefits of creativity in reducing stress, preventing burnout, and managing mental well-being.
- Use of Funds
The funds raised will support the running of the website and the exhibitions. Surplus funds will be used to organize exhibitions for medical students and other healthcare students.
- Company Details
The ArtofHealers is a registered company. The directors do not receive any payment other than reimbursement for expenses related to running the website and exhibitions.
